Here is every full moon, new moon and sabbat from late October to Christmas 2026, in UK time, with a simple idea for your altar on each date. Clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, so all times from then on are GMT.
Monday 26 October, 04:11 – Hunter's Moon (full)
The full moon peaks in the early hours, so the night of Sunday 25 October is the one to plan for. It's a good night for scrying: dim the lights, set a single candle behind a clear crystal ball and let your eyes soften.
Saturday 31 October – Samhain
The witches' new year, when the veil is said to be thinnest. Many people set out an offering for those who came before in a ritual chalice or goblet, and write down what came through in a Book of Shadows.
Monday 9 November, 07:02 – New Moon
A clean slate. Clear your altar, open a window, light some incense and write one intention for the month ahead.
Tuesday 24 November, 14:53 – Beaver Moon (full)
A full moon for cleansing and recharging: leave your cards, crystals and tools out on a windowsill overnight. (Keep glass crystal balls out of direct sun the next day, as they can focus sunlight like a lens.)
Wednesday 9 December, 00:51 – New Moon
The last new moon of the year falls just after midnight. Use it to plan the year ahead, or start a fresh journal.
Monday 21 December, 20:50 – Yule (winter solstice)
The longest night. Light a candle at sunset and let it mark the return of the light. If you're gifting a fellow witch, see our Yule gift ideas.
Thursday 24 December, 01:28 – Cold Moon (full)
The final full moon of 2026, on Christmas Eve. A gentle moment to release the year before the new one begins.
Moon times are calculated for the UK (GMT) and rounded to the minute. For a gift needed by a particular date, please check the current UK delivery estimates before ordering; delivery by Christmas is not guaranteed.
